Worked freelance and for contract agencies including Instructions, Inc. and Custom Tech Systems. Managed or took senior responsibility for projects including:
- General Electric Medical Systems, operator, installation, and field service manuals for CT scanners.
- Noran / Mortara Instruments, a comprehensive reference manual for an automated digital electron microscope. Received an achievement award from the Society for Technical Communications, Wisconsin chapter competition, 1993, for managing the graphics production team for this project.
- Ameritech / Wisconsin Bell, workbook exercises and training manuals.
- Software Publishing Corporation, user, reference, and training manuals for the original release of Harvard Draw for Windows, also user and training manuals for SPC-Writer for Windows.
- M&I Data Systems, Marshall and Isley Bank, user and system administrator manuals for mainframe banking software.
